DescriptionA black-and-white full-length action photograph of Roger Bresnahan fielding. Shown in 3/4 profile, Bresnahan wears a Detroit Tigers uniform. Standing with feet apart and knees bent, Bresnahan holds both hands in front of his body chest height, preparing to catch the oncoming ball. Looking forward, Bresnahan directs his gaze to a point to the right of the camera. The blurred outline of the mitt, worn by Bresnahan on his left hand, indicates that this image was captured while Bresnahan was in motion. Taken on the field, an unoccupied stadium is visible in the background. Stamped on the reverse (not shown), in black and red ink, respectively, on additional copies of the photograph, are the phrases, "RECEIVED APR 27 1930," and "FILED AUG 20 1930."
