Caption on reverse (not shown) reads, "In memory of those famous double plays executed - Tinker to Evers to Chance. Johnny Evers, now a scout for the Boston Braves, but once second baseman for the Chicago Cubs when that team had one of baseball's greatest infields, stopped at the Rosedale Cemetery, Los Angeles, Calif., Aug. 11, to place a wreath on the grave of Frank Chance, former Cub manager, and famous first baseman."
