DescriptionA set of two black-and-white photographs, one of Bob Feller on the telephone and one of an airplane. A caption on the back of the photo (not shown) reads, "Feller Crash-Lands Plane-Chicago, Ill.: Former Cleveland Indians pitching star Bob Feller (bottom photo) makes a phone call after crash landing his plane at Meigs Field here, April 19th. The plane (top photo) was badly damaged but Feller was unhurt. He was forced to crash land the aircraft because of trouble with the landing gear. Feller was en route to Rockford, Ill., for a speaking engagement. 4/18/60"
