DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured lightly jogging as he is about to cross home base. Ott has his head down and is slapping hands with his teammate, Joe Medwick, who is about to come up to bat himself. An unidentified umpire is standing next to Medwick. Both Ott and Medwick are dressed in New York Giants home uniforms. Based on Ott and Medwick's uniforms and their time with the Giants, this photograph was probably taken in 1944.
