DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Babe Ruth and five unidentified children. The caption (not shown) reads "His majesty -the king of swat- otherwise Babe Ruth, is seen with a group of his loyal subjects-the youngsters-as he arrived aboard the union Pacific's Coast Limited the other evening from Salt Lake City. Ruth, in company with his manager, Christy Walsh, came here to fulfill the three exhibition games at Wrigley Field for the benefit of the Marion Davies Clinic for ailing children of crippled war veterans." Based on the back of the photograph (not shown), this was taken on October 19, 1931.
