DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Nellie Fox captured with his two daughters, Bonnie and Tracy, and their dog. Bonnie is standing behind Fox and she has her hands placed on his shoulders. Tracy is standing next to Fox and is holding the dog's leash. Fox is kneeling on the grass looking down at the puppy who is jumping up on him. A white picket fence is in the background. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Family of Foxes: White Sox second baseman Nellie Fox, voted the New York Baseball Writers Assn. player of the year, plays with his children Bonnie, 10, and Tracey, 2, and their pet beagle, Barney." Another caption on the back of the photograph (also not shown) states, "TOPS IN POLL: White Sox second baseman Nellie Fox has been judged the American Leagues' most valuable player by United Press International..." Based on the captions and his American League MVP award, this photograph was probably taken in 1959.
