DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Connie Mack captured having a conversation with Bob Russell and his wife, Mrs. Mack. Both, Russell and Mrs. Mack have large grins. Mack has a small smile on his face. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) (not shown) and states, "Connie Gets The Air New York: Connie Mack, the grand old man of baseball, chats with Bob Russell (left), master of ceremonies of NBC-TV's 'Bonny Maid Versatile Varieties' show, while Mrs. Mack looks on, Oct. 20. Mack, who retired the other day after 50 years as manager of the Philadelphia Athletics, was given a tribute by Russell on the show.10/20/50." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on October 20, 1950.
