DescriptionA black-and-white dual photograph of Connie Mack wearing a Washington Nationals uniform. On the left Mack grips a baseball up in his right hand, on the right he is in a batting stance. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) and states, "Connie Mack Then This is Connie Mack as he looked in 1887 when he played with Washington. Manager of Philadelphia Athletics for 50 years, until he retired in 1950, Mack died Feb. 8 at the age of 93." Based on information on the reverse (not shown) this photograph was probably created in 1956.
