DescriptionA black-and-white panoramic photograph of an unidentified game of the 1911 World Series played at Shibe Park in Philadelphia. The photograph was taken from a location in the stands along the first base line, possibly from the second deck. Both the action on the field and the fans in their seats are visible. Beyond the right field wall a large number of fans watching the game from nearby rooftops can be seen. An unidentified New York Giants batter stands at the plate while unidentified Philadelphia Athletics players man their positions on the field. There is a note written close to home plate on the first base side which reads, "B 11g . Copyright, 1911. The Pictorial News Co. ny. 138 West 42. st"
