Brooklyn Dodgers versus New York Yankees negative
Dateprobably 1940
DescriptionA black-and-white negative of a Brooklyn Dodgers baseball game against the New York Yankees. A Brooklyn Dodgers player, probably Tex Carleton, is captured sliding into second base and dirt rises around his feet. An unidentified second baseman for the New York Yankees is captured jumping up to catch the baseball. Carleton is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. Based on Carleton's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this negative was probably taken in 1940.
