DescriptionA black-and-white negative of an unidentified Brooklyn Dodgers player at bat. The batter is captured mid swing, with the bat fully extended out pointing towards the pitchers mound. A small cloud of dirt is rising around the batter's right foot as he pivots during his swing. The unidentified batter is dressed in a Brooklyn Dodgers home uniform. What is a probably a photographer is captured squatting behind the batter on the sideline of the field. An unidentified third base coach is visible along the sideline of the field. An unidentified catcher and an unidentified umpire are behind home plate. The catcher is captured holding his glove up. Ebbets Field is in the background. The stands are packed with fans. Based on the unidentified batter's uniform, this negative was taken between 1940 and 1946.
