DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of John McGraw captured in profile while squatting down near the third base line with a serious expression on his face. McGraw is dressed in the New York Giants home uniform. A caption typed on a piece of paper affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "...John J. McGraw, manager of the New York Giants, will celebrate his 25th year in organized baseball on July 10th. John J. McGraw has piloted his Giants to 10 National League pennants and 4 World Series...John J. McGraw coaching base runners from side-lines." Based on McGraw's uniform and his time with the Giants this photograph was taken in approximately 1909.
