DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured standing on a baseball field posing in a batting stance. Ott is looking forward with a tiny smirk and is holding a baseball bat against his right shoulder. His feet are twisting in the grass. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. The Polo Grounds is in the background and a few fans are seated throughout it. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was taken between 1933 and 1936.
