DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured lunging to catch a baseball. Ott has both of his arms and hands extended upwards reaching for a baseball that is in the air. His left foot is touching the ground but his right foot is kicked up off the ground. His eyes are focused on the ball. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. The Polo Grounds is in the background. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was taken between 1933 and 1937.
