DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Mel Ott captured at bat. Ott is looking over his right shoulder towards the pitcher's mound. He is holding a baseball bat. His left foot is dug into the dirt while his right foot is hanging in the air. The Polo Grounds is in the background. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants home uniform. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was taken between 1933 and 1937.
