Stan Musial glove

DescriptionBrown leather right-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall connected by two horizontal pieces and one vertical piece of leather as webbing. This webbing is connected to the forefinger and thumb stalls by metal grommets and knotted leather laces. "Rawlings," "Muscial, "43M" and "Patents Applied For" are stamped on the palm side heel area. Palm side heel edge of the glove is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. Back side of glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls. There is a red "Rawlings" fabric label on the wrist strap along with "Stan Muscial" stamped to the right, above two button holes and a metal button fastening the wrist strap.

Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Stan Musial of the St. Louis Cardinals during the 1944 season. This glove was possibly used in the 1944 World Series.
