Letter from Leo Smith to Roxey Roach

DescriptionA 2-page letter with envelope (not shown) written by Leo Smith to Roxey Roach, September 16, 1916. The letter is handwritten in pencil. Leo Smith tells Roxey that it's been a long time since they've seen each other but he's been watching Roach in the paper. He tells him he is now in Atlanta, GA, working for the Burroughs Adding Machine Company in the inspection department. He writes to tell him that Louisville Colonels look good for a pennant and congratulates Roach as captain. He updates him on a few old friends - Steve Yerkes and Jack Stansbury. He asked how his wife and children are doing and hopes to see him again when he is training in the south in the spring. He signs it "Your friend, Leo Smith."
