DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Bob Feller with his father William Andrew Feller. Both men, shown from the knees up, are wearing suits and overcoats. Bob Feller carries his hat in his right hand while is left hand is in his pocket. Feller faces the camera with his body angled slightly to his right towards his father. William Feller stands with his right arm by his side with his left arm across his son's shoulders. Both men are smiling and looking in towards one another making eye contact. Based on both the lighting of the photo as well as the background it was taken indoors. Pasted on the reverse (not shown) is an edited image of this photo, cropped to show both men from the chest up, with the caption that reads 'Well done, son, says William Feller, left, as he congratulates Bobby on no-hitter he twirled for Indians in opening game." On this cited newspaper clipping (not shown) stamped in purple ink is the date APR 17 1940, the probable publication date of this image.
