DescriptionA black-and-white cropped photograph of Bob Feller standing, wearing a suit. Captured from the chest up, Feller is smiling and staring directly at the camera. Due to the flat lighting of the photo it can be inferred that it was taken indoors. Both the blue mark in the upper center of the image and the background that has been whitewashed are not original. The close cropping of this image as well as the blue mark, a system of notation, suggests that this portrait was extracted from a larger image. Stamped on the reverse (not shown), in black ink, is "FELLER, BOB BASEBALL," indicating both the identity of the subject as well as his profession. Furthermore both "JUL 20 1962" and "USED JUL 28 1962 4th EDITION" are stamped in red ink on the reverse. These dates suggest possible creation and publication dates of this image.
