DescriptionA black-and-white full-length photograph of Bing Miller in his batting stance. Miller, facing the camera, wears a Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. Standing with feet apart, Miller places right hand over left on the grip of the bat. Holding the bat chest height in front of his body, Miller turns his head to his left, looking in the direction of the pitcher. Captured in game, an occupied stadium is visible in the background. Based on the specific style of uniform worn by Miller, and the dark socks with two stripes, this image taken between 1928, when Philadelphia introduced this style, and 1930, when they retired this design.
