Grove is dressed in a Philadelphia Athletics road uniform. Speaker is dressed in a sports jacket and bow tie. Grove and Speaker had previously been teammates during the 1928 season when they both played for the Philadelphia Athletics. This photograph is undated but appears to be from Grove's time as a coach.
