DescriptionA black-and-white full-length posed photograph of Roger Bresnahan fielding. Bresnahan, facing the camera, wears a Chicago Cubs home uniform. Standing with feet apart and knees bent, Bresnahan leans forward. Wearing a catcher's mitt on his left hand, Bresnahan places his right hand in the crease of his mitt, holding it waist height on his right side. Bresnahan looks forward and down, to a point on the ground in front of him. Visible to the left of Bresnahan is a teammate. Taken on the field, an occupied stadium can be seen in the distance. A sticker in the lower right of the photograph reads, "86.330." Based on the specific design of the uniform worn by Bresnahan, this image was captured between 1913, when he joined Chicago, and 1915, his final year with the team.
