DescriptionBlue cap, size 7 1/4, with a red button at the top crown. Front of the cap has a red and white embroidered team logo. Rear center has an embroidered MLB logo. Underside of the bill has "34" handwritten in blue ink. Interior sweatband has three manufacturer labels, including "New Era," "Diamond Collection" and sizing information.
Bio/Historical NoteCap worn by pitcher Kerry Wood of the Chicago Cubs on May 6, 1998 when he struck out 20 Houston Astros batters at Wrigley Field. This tied the Major League record held by Roger Clemens and established a new National League record for strikeouts in a nine-inning game. The Chicago Cubs defeated the Houston Astros 2-0.
