Vivian Kellogg first baseman's mitt

DescriptionBrown leather three-fingered first baseman's mitt with leather lacing and grommets between the finger stalls. Palm side has "Rawlings T70" imprinted on the lower heel area and "The George McQuinn 'Claw' " model imprinted on the pinky stall. Back side of the mitt has a "Rawlings / St. Louis" rectangular fabric label on the thumb stall with "Do Not Put Fingers In This Section" imprinted on the middle stall and "Place All Fingers in This Section With Small & Third Fingers Thru Adjustable Loop" on the last stall. Wrist closure has an adjustable strap affixed with lacing. Center of the wrist strap has "Vivian Kellogg 1949" handwritten in black ink.

Bio/Historical NoteVivian Kellogg used this glove during her time as a first baseman for the Fort Wayne Daisies of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League from 1945 to 1950.
