Nap Lajoie Batting Pose photograph

Date1905
DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Napoleon "Nap" Lajoie posing in a batting stance for a photographer. Lajoie stands in a right-handed batting stance with his hands choked a few inches from the bat handle. Because Lajoie's feet are not pointed towards home plate and with his back elbow lowered, this can be inferred to be a staged photograph. Lajoie wears an away Cleveland Naps uniform, and based on the uniform details, the photograph was taken in 1905. Lajoie stands on a dirt surface very close to a large wooden wall or door. The location of this photograph is unidentified.
