DescriptionMaroon felt fez with a black tassel at the top which is attached to the proper left side. "Moslem" is embroidered in gold and white on the front with a sword below and an arch opening towards the bottom. In the center of the arch is an attached gold rectangular medallion with an image of a face. Below the arch is a gold embroidered star. Top of the fez has small punched ventilation holes. Interior of the fez has a red fabric label sewn in, "Ihling Bros. Everard Co. / Masonic Outfitters / Kalamazoo, Mich."
Bio/Historical NoteShriners fez owned by Ty Cobb. Cobb was made a noble of Moslem Temple in Detroit on January 26, 1912 and an honorary member of City of Straits Lodge #452 on May 7, 1921.
