DescriptionA matted, pencil-drawn cartoon by Little Willy King, dated 1945. The center has a head-and-shoulders illustration of baseball player, Gil Coan. Below the image is his name and "Lookout Leftfielder." The top left quadrant depicts a ballplayer hitting a baseball. The lower right corner shows a ballplayer running full speed. The lower left quadrant lists statistics about Coan followed by "He is making Lookout fans forget Bill Nicholson." The top right quadrant notes, "Coan is a speedster in the field and on the bases. He stands a good chance of breaking the Southern triple record of 27 through Tuesday. Gil had 26 to his credit." The bottom right corner has the cartoonist's signature "Little Willy King" and the verso (not shown) is blank.
