DescriptionA matted pencil-drawn cartoon by artist Little Willy King, dated 1945. It shows a Chattanooga Lookouts player standing on the backs of two running horses. Each horse has a name on their bridle, Brunke (left) and Rossi (right). In front of the horses are two dust clouds, reading "Atlanta" and "New Orleans," respectively. Situated left center is a cartoon depiction of the artist standing behind a fence with the caption, "Those two work-horses have helped get us back in the pennant race." The bottom right corner contains the artist's signature. The verso (not shown) is blank.
Bio/Historical NoteThe two horses represented pitchers Larry Brunke and Al Rossi.
