DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Bob Feller in conversation with Bill Veeck, owner of the Cleveland Indians. Feller, shown from the chest up is seated at a table wearing a tuxedo and boutonniere. Feller faces the camera, but looks to his left smiling at Veeck. Due to the relaxed nature of the photograph and the lack of eye contact with the camera from either Feller or Veeck it is possible that both men were unaware of the presence of the photographer. Based on the manner of dress of Feller and table setting in the foreground, this images appears to have been taken at a formal event. Stamped on the reverse in red ink is the date "FEB 1949," a possible publication date of this image.
