Fox is dressed in a Chicago White Sox road uniform. An unidentified stadium is visible in the background. An unidentified player is visible in the dugout. The caption on the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "White Sox' Nellie Fox lays down a bunt in the first inning of yesterday's game with the Yankees." Another caption on the back of the photograph (also not shown) states, "Nellie Fox Attempts bunt vs. New York 5-8-60 1st inning." Based on the caption, this photograph was taken on May 8, 1960.
