Ronald Reagan and Amy Alexander photograph

Date1952
DescriptionA black-and-white half-length photograph of actor Ronald Reagan autographing baseballs for Amy Alexander, Grover Cleveland Alexander's ex-wife. Sitting, holding a basket of baseballs, Alexander looks down to the ball she holds in her right hand. Reagan, sitting to the left of Alexander, holds a pen in his right hand. He turns his head to his left, looking across to Alexander. A caption pasted on the reverse (not shown) reads, "ON THE BALL HOLLYWOOD; CALIF.: Mrs. Grover Cleveland Alexander, wife of the late baseball great, receives autographed baseballs from actor Ronald Reagan, who portrays her husband in "THE WINNING TEAM." Members of the cast presented Mrs. Alexander with autographed baseballs before she left Hollywood on a cross-continent tour of major league cites.
