DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Napoleon "Nap" Lajoie mowing a lawn. Lajoie pushes a lawn mower on the edge of a flower garden presumably cutting grass in his yard. Lajoie has both hands on the handle and his left leg is bent and moving forward while his right leg is slightly bent and behind him. Lajoie wears dark pants, a dress dark dress shirt with a sweater vest over it, and smokes out of a pipe on the left side of his mouth. Lajoie is visibly older with graying hair and wrinkles on his face. Surrounding Lajoie are trees, bushes, and a blurry bench directly behind him. On the reverse (not shown), there is a stamp stating "Note to Editors: JUN 28 1940" which indicates a possible date the photograph was taken.
