DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of George Sisler captured seated at a desk with a serious expression on his face. Sisler is dressed in a suit. There is a contract on his desk. A newspaper caption affixed to the back of the photograph (not shown) states, "Nov 30--George Sisler, one time star first baseman and later manager of the St. Louis Browns of the American League, sat at his desk in his sporting goods store yesterday and pondered the proposal that he and a group of St. Louisans buy the club. 11-30-35" Based on the newspaper caption this photograph was taken on November 29, 1935.
