DescriptionA black-and-white, chest length photograph of Mel Ott captured in his batting stance. Ott has a straight face as he looks over his right shoulder towards the pitcher's mound. He is holding a baseball bat over his left shoulder. Ott is dressed in a New York Giants uniform, but it is unclear whether or not it is a home or road uniform. An unidentified stadium is in the background. Based on Ott's uniform and his time with the Giants, this photograph was taken between 1933 and 1947.
