DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax captured seated at his desk during one of his architecture classes which he took during the off season of baseball at Columbia University. Koufax has a large smile on his face and is holding a ruler in between his hands. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "Dodger southpaw Sandy Koufax, pitches into the problems of getting educated during baseball's idle moments. The promising rookie pitcher has enrolled at the School of General Studies at Columbia University." This photograph was taken in approximately 1955.
