DescriptionDark stain wooden bat, 34 ounces, with a "Louisville Slugger" trademark logo in the center of the barrel and "Genuine / George "Babe" Ruth (facsimile signature) / Reg. U.S. Pat Off" at the end of the barrel. To the bottom right of the trademark logo is Babe Ruth's autograph in black pen.
Bio/Historical NoteBabe Ruth model bat autographed by Babe Ruth. This bat was presented to the donor by Babe Ruth at Fort Meade, Maryland at the close of encampment (Citizens Military Training Camp) the summer of 1931. The donor was a staff sergeant as well as Captain and pitcher on the camp's championship baseball team that season.
