DescriptionA full-length action color image of Tony Gwynn batting. Gwynn, facing the camera, wears a San Diego Padres home uniform, batting gloves, and helmet. Captured mid-swing, Gwynn supports his weight between his straight, front right leg and his straight, back left leg. Only the toe of his left cleat touches the ground. Rotating his upper body to his right, Gwynn looks down and to his left. Placing his right hand on the grip of the bat, Gwynn holds the bat on his right side, chest height, parallel to the ground. Gwynn's left arm, that extends across his body, hovers over the grip of the bat. The \RAK\ patch visible on the left sleeve of Gwynn's jersey was worn by the Padres from 1984-1986, to honor to their former team owner, Ray Kroc. Captured in-game, an occupied stadium and dugout can be seen in the background. The creation date of this image was provided by the donor.
