DescriptionDark brown leather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and leather laces looped through metal grommets lining both the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. Palm side bottom edge is lined with metal grommets and leather laces. Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap fastened by a metal button. Top of the button has "D&M" with a dog logo in red.
Bio/Historical NotePhiladelphia Athletics pitcher Howard Ehmke wore this glove in his surprise start against the Cubs in Game 1 of the 1929 World Series on October 8th. Ehmke struck out 13 batters, a record that stood for 34 years. Ehmke's win sparked the A's to the World Championship, but he never won another game and retired during the following year.
