Thomas F. Deal glove

DescriptionDark brown leather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and leather laces looped through metal grommets connecting the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. "Genuine Horse Hide" is stamped into the lower portion of the palm side of the glove. Leather laces and metal grommets line the palm side heel edge. Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls and a wrist strap with two buttonholes. Wrist strap fastens with a metal button. There is a manufacturer label on the wrist strap.
Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Thomas Francis Deal, a semi-pro player born in Amsterdam, NY. Deal was born August 4, 1895, and died December 24, 1972 in Amsterdam.
