DescriptionMulti-colored shoes with a camouflage design, light gray laces and red manufacturer logos on the outer toe boxes and inner heel portions. Right shoe has additional rubber toe reinforcement. Outer sides have "Lydia Joy 11/3/17" handwritten in black ink. Interior of each shoe has an attached nylon sock which extends up over the ankle and acts also as a tongue with "Kimbrel" embroidered in orange vertically on a black fabric strip in the front. Heels have a black fabric loop at the top with "46" embroidered in orange. Outer heels have MLB Authentication hologram stickers. Bottom soles are navy blue, black and gray plastic with a red manufacturer logo in the center and nine metal spikes.
Bio/Historical NoteSpikes worn by Boston Red Sox closer Craig Kimbrel when he recorded the 300th save of his career on May 5, 2018. According to the Red Sox, Kimbrel was the 29th pitcher to record 300 saves, reaching the mark in fewer games (494), in fewer save opportunities (330), and at a young age (29) than any other pitcher. His save percentage of 90.9 is the highest in baseball history (min. 250 save opportunities). "Lydia Joy 11/3/17" on each of the shoes refers to Kimbrel's daughter and her birth date.
