DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax captured standing on the pitcher's mound as he just released his pitch and is still following through on his form. Koufax is bent down with his left arm extended out in front of him and his feet wide apart on the pitcher's mound. The baseball is visible in the air. Koufax is dressed in the Los Angeles Dodgers road uniform. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the back of the photograph and states, "300th victim...Sandy Koufax, Los Angeles' brilliant lefty, turns loose the pitch that struck out Cards' Curt Flood, earning him a record of three years in which he fanned 300 or more rival batsmen." Based on the Koufax's uniform and his time with the Dodgers, this photograph was taken between 1958 and 1966.
