DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Sandy Koufax captured grinning in the locker room holding a basket of baseballs after achieving his 20th win of his 1965 season on August 10, 1965 when the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the New York Mets 4-3. Koufax is dressed in the Los Angeles Dodgers home uniform. Koufax's locker is visible in the background. A newspaper clipping is affixed to the front of the photograph and states, "Sandy Koufax of the Dodgers carries a basket with 20 baseballs-- symbolic of the 20 games he he's won for Los Angeles in 1965. The swifty lefty became the majors' first 20 game winner of the year with a 4-3 victory over the Mets at Los Angeles last night." A caption written on the back of the photograph states, "Koufax 1965." Based on the newspaper clipping this photograph was taken on August 10, 1965.
