DescriptionSterling silver trophy comprised of a silver baseball atop three vertical crossed bats with a laurel wreath around them. The baseball has "Champion / 1911 / Giants" in raised lettering on one side, "From The / Citizens / of / The City of New York / Hon. T.D. Sullivan / Chair" in raised lettering on the opposite side and "John J. McGraw / Manager" engraved at the very top of the ball. The ball, crossed bats and laurel wreath is then mounted on a tiered silver base with "To / Edward L Mackall / Trainer" engraved on one side. The silver upper portion of the trophy sits atop a tiered black wooden base.

Bio/Historical NoteAfter the New York Giants won the 1911 National League pennant, each club member received a silver trophy from the fans. This trophy, originally issued to manager John McGraw, was later given to Edward Mackall, the Giants' black trainer, at an unknown date.
