Max Carey glove

DescriptionLeather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall. Forefinger stall and thumb stall are connected by a piece of leather as webbing. Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls. There is an "A.J. Reach" manufacturer label on the back of the wrist strap along with a metal button closure. There are two buttonholes on the wrist strap for size adjustment.
Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Max Carey of the Pittsburgh Pirates in 1917 when he set a new record for putouts in that year (440).
