Harry Brecheen glove

DescriptionDark brown leather right-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and a piece of leather between the forefinger and thumb stalls as webbing. Leather laces and metal grommets line the palm side of the heel. Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls and a wrist strap which fastens with a metal button and two buttonholes for sizing adjustment. There is a red fabric manufacturer label stitched onto the wrist strap on the thumb stall side.

Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Harry Brecheen during the 1946 season and the World Series. Brecheen won three games in the Cardinals' World Series victory over the Boston Red Sox.
