Lou Boudreau glove

DescriptionDark brown leather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls, a thumb stall and two horizontal pieces of leather with lacing between the thumb and forefinger stalls as webbing. Metal grommets and leather laces line the bottom palm side edge. Back side has an opening at the base of the finger stalls with a wrist strap having two buttonholes and a metal button for fastening. There is a rectangular area where a manufacturer label used to have been on the wrist strap opposite the button.
Bio/Historical NoteAn eight-time All-Star shortstop for the Cleveland Indians, Lou Boudreau used this glove early in his big league career, circa 1940.
