DescriptionA black-and-white photograph of Tris Speaker in uniform. Speaker, shown from the chest up, wears a Cleveland Indians home uniform. Smiling, Speaker turns his head to his right, to look at a point in the distance and to the right of the camera. Evident by the shadows across the subject's face, this image was captured out of doors. Based on the specific uniform worn by Speaker, this image dates from 1922, when Cleveland first introduced solid color home uniforms with piping, and 1926, Speaker's last year with the team.
