Enos Slaughter glove

DescriptionDark brown leather left-handed fielder's glove with four finger stalls and a thumb stall connected by leather laces reinforced with white tape as webbing. Back side of the glove has an opening at the base of the finger stalls. Wrist strap fastens with a metal button inscribed with "Wilson" in cursive lettering. There are two buttonholes for size adjustment.
Bio/Historical NoteGlove used by Enos Slaughter during the 1942 season. It is unknown whether Slaughter used this glove during the 1942 World Series. At the end of the season, he enlisted in the Air Force, losing three years of his career to service during World War II.
