DescriptionCircular bronze medal with image of a baseball player on the front with a laurel wreath behind head and raised lettering on the front around the perimeter, "Awarded to / Rogers Hornsby / 1925 / The National Baseball League / Most Valuable Player." Reverse is blank except for small maker's mark, "Robbins Co . Attleboro."

Bio/Historical NoteSt. Louis Cardinals second baseman Rogers Hornsby earned this National League Most Valuable Player medal, topping .400 for the third time in four seasons with a .403 batting average.
