DescriptionCircular gilt and enamel medal showing a white star against a red pentagon background. There is a blue disc in the center of the white star which has 13 gold stars. There are five gold eagles with spread wings surrounding the star. The medal has a gold hoop attached at the top center with a blue and white ribbon looped through for hanging around the neck. There are thre snap closures on the ribbon. Back side of the medal reads "Presidential Medal of Freedom" in raised lettering surrounding "Henry 'Hank' Aaron" inscribed in the center.
Bio/Historical NotePresidential Medal of Freedeom, the nation's highest civilian honor, awarded to Hank Aaron by President George W. Bush on July 9, 2002.
